Between Flame and Shadow is a conceptual photograph exploring light, atmosphere, and narrative through a staged LEGO scene. The composition centers on a blacksmith at work, using controlled lighting, color contrast, and depth to create a cinematic environment at a miniature scale. Warm highlights from the forge are balanced against surrounding shadow to guide focus and establish mood, while careful staging reinforces a sense of place and story. The piece was selected for the Collegiate Student Art Showcase during The Ringling Underground at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.
